Apple Pay is an easy, secure and private way to purchase in-store, online or in apps. Now you can use your BCV Visa Debit card and your other BCV credit cards.

Adding your BCV visa debit card is easy.

In the Cards menu of your BCV Mobile application, you can add your Visa Debit to Apple Pay simply by pressing the button “Add to Apple Wallet”.

If you don't have BCV Mobile, you can also add your card manually from the Cards app on your iPhone by following the on-screen instructions.

All you need to pay is your Apple device.

You can easily pay using Apple Pay anywhere you see the Apple Pay or the contactless symbol at checkout.

In store

To pay in store, double-click the side button from your locked iPhone screen or while using any app. Then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and hold your device near the reader. Done.

To check out in-store, double-click the side button of your Apple Watch and hold your device near the reader. Done.

Online and in app

To quickly pay online or in apps on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Vision Pro, tap the Pay button confirm your billing and shipping information, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. When you see the “done” checkmark, you’re all set

Apple Pay is an easy, secure and confidential way to pay using your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac – no need for cash or cards.

Yes, Apple Pay is known for being very secure. For each purchase you make, Apple Pay uses a device-specific number and a unique transaction code. This means your card number is not stored on your device or on an Apple server. Apple never shares your identity or card information with merchants.

When you pay online or in an app, only the information needed to fulfil your order (such as your name and shipping address) will be shared with the merchant.

What’s more, to make sure your purchases remain private, Apple doesn’t keep any transaction information that can be tied back to you.
 

To use Apple Pay, you will need:

  • an Apple-compatible device
  • a debit or credit card, such as BCV Visa Debit
  • the latest version of iOS, watchOS, or macOS
  • an Apple ID linked to iCloud.

No. While BCV Mobile makes it easier to register your Visa Debit card with Apple Pay and keep track of your purchases, it’s not essential.

You can also register your card directly through the Apple Wallet app on your iPhone.
 

You can register a BCV Visa Debit card via BCV Mobile in just a few clicks.
You can also register a BCV credit card (Silver, Gold, or PrePaid) using the Wallet app.

Yes, you can add multiple cards to Apple Pay, such as a debit card and a credit card.

You can also choose a default card for your payments in the Wallet app.

Yes. The same card can be added to Apple Pay on multiple compatible devices.

Yes. A BCV Visa Debit card can be used with several payment solutions at the same time, including Apple Pay and BCV TWINT.

The maximum payment amount depends on the limit of the card you’ve chosen.

Apple Pay will remain active for 60 seconds, giving you time to complete your transaction.

It depends on the type of card you’ve chosen:

  • With a Visa Debit card, the amount will be debited from your account immediately.
  • With a credit card, the amount will be debited at the end of the month.
  • With a PrePaid card, you will need to load money onto the card before you can use it.

You can see your last ten payment transactions in the Wallet app.

You can also view all your Apple Pay transactions in BCV Mobile and on your card statement, just as you would for payments made with a physical card.

No. There are no extra fees when you use Apple Pay. Only the usual credit or debit charges apply to your transactions.

Please note that data charges may be incurred depending on the plan you have with your mobile phone provider.

Yes. There are no extra fees when you use Apple Pay abroad. Only the usual credit or debit charges apply to your transactions. You can learn more about these charges in our brochure on BCV account terms and conditions.

No card information is stored on your iPhone. Therefore, you do not need to block your card.

You must immediately block your card in BCV Mobile or on BCV-net, or by calling our Customer Service Center on 0844 228 228.

We will issue you a replacement card, which you will need to register with Apple Pay again.

In the Wallet app:

  •  Select the card you want to remove and tap the icon with the three dots on it. Next, select “Card Details” and then “Remove this card”.

On an Apple Watch:

  • Open the Watch app, go to the “My watch” tab, tap “Wallet & Apple Pay,” tap the card you want to remove, and then select “Remove this card.”

You can also manage your cards online using your Apple ID.

 

If your card has been automatically replaced (due to expiry or damage), and the number has not changed, you can continue to use it through Apple Pay.

If you have been issued a replacement card featuring a new number (due to fraud, theft, or loss), you will need to register it with Apple Pay again.
