Job opportunities
Once you complete your apprenticeship, you’ll have a number of careers to choose from in the field of occupational pensions.
You could become a pension plan manager, for example, where you’ll be in charge of administering insured members’ pension-fund accounts. You’ll work with members, from when they first sign up for a pension plan to when they get promoted and eventually change employers or retire. You’ll also handle voluntary contributions, retirement benefits, disability benefits, withdrawals for home downpayments, and more. And you’ll be involved in administrative tasks such as billing, inventory, and correspondence with companies about contribution payments.
There are opportunities for you in other BCV business lines, too. But since this apprenticeship is specifically within the occupational pensions department, it’s designed to orient you towards a career in this area.
