Post-secondary internships

Are you under 25 and have you earned a recognized secondary-school diploma? Are you looking for a way to apply your knowledge and get a start in the professional world as you continue to learn? Our 18-month post-secondary internships are the perfect way to learn about BCV's core business while continuing your training.

"The first thing I learned at BCV was its values: close ties, responsibility, performance, and professionalism. And I had the opportunity to practice those values during my internship, which consisted of three six-month assignments that gave me a broad overview of all the different banking activities. I started in a branch, then moved to wealth management in Private Banking, and then to Corporate Banking. The internship enabled me to learn more about financial markets – a field I’m particularly interested in – and get a job as an assistant client advisor in Private Banking. Of the many advantages of doing a post-secondary internship at BCV, I would highlight the excellent guidance and support you receive."

18-month post-secondary internship

How does it work?

Over the course of 18 months, you will work in three business areas:

Your training will be complemented by courses organized by the CYP (cyp.ch). These courses will provide you with a solid basis in banking products and services, the legal environment, and economics.

Where would I work?

BCV has branches all over Vaud Canton, so you will be able to work near where you live. You will be trained by banking experts and professional educators.

And after the internship?

Upon successful completion of your internship you will receive a post-secondary basic banking training certificate, recognized by the Swiss Banking Association.

You will have a number of options after your training. You can specialize in one of the fields you worked in at BCV, you can opt for in-house training in client advising, or you can enroll in an external program in order to earn a Swiss Federal Diploma in Banking and Finance.
