We have detected a new type of attempted fraud by email and/or telephone. These attempts may be made by one or more people. The fraudsters pretend to be people to whom you make payments, e.g. for rent or bills. They claim that their bank account details have changed ? their goal is to have you use their payment details rather than the genuine beneficiary's payment details. Before you make changes to any payment details, it is essential that you independently confirm that this information really has changed by directly contacting the person or company that you pay.
