Over the past few years, the Swiss payment system has been gradually brought into line with the new ISO 20022 standard. The aim is to unify and streamline the entire payment process by automating the data processing side of things.

All Swiss banks are affected by the changes to the country’s payment system.

You can keep entering payment orders as before, using our easy-to-use digital payment tools – BCV-net, BCV Mobile, and eBill – and low- or no-cost functions.

On 30 September 2022, QR bills will permanently replace the red (BV) and orange (BVR) payment slips that are currently in use. You have been able to pay QR bills using BCV-net or BCV Mobile since 30 June 2020.
