Opening a bank account

One of the first things you will need to do upon arrival in Switzerland is open a bank account, as your salary will most likely be paid straight into your account each month.

When you open an account with us, we will provide you with your international bank account number (IBAN). You will need this to transfer money to and from Switzerland, and it can be used for payments made and received within the country too.

You can pay money into your Swiss account in cash or by check, or by transferring funds from another account inside or outside Switzerland. As checks are not commonly used in Switzerland, however, they take a relatively long time to clear and are subject to high processing fees.

We offer a full range of current and savings accounts for your everyday banking needs.
