BCV recommends that you take the following measures to secure your computer while surfing the net:

• use antivirus software with automatic updates
• make sure your navigator is recent and has all the latest updates
• make sure your operating system is configured for automatic updates
• activate a firewall.

We also recommend the following measures:

• when doing your e-banking, be sure to enter our website address manually rather than click on a link you got from an email
• have your antivirus software do regular checks of your hard drive
• use passwords that are long (min. 6 characters) and contain a random mix of numbers, letters and symbols
• empty your navigator’s cache after every BCV-net e-banking session.
