Watchlist from e-SIDER.COM — a new tool for experienced and inexperienced investors alike

Watchlist is an online investment tool designed to allow users to track simulated investments in one or more virtual portfolios. It is ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to trade online without having to invest real money. Watchlist is not limited to clients of e-SIDER.COM, BCV’s online trading platform.

Lausanne, 12 July 2007 – BCV is launching Watchlist, a virtual portfolio tool. Watchlist can be useful to both newcomers wanting to get a glimpse of how investing works and more experienced users looking to test various investment strategies. To use Watchlist, it is not necessary to be a client of e-SIDER.COM.

With Watchlist, users define one or more portfolios of listed securities. The system can be set up to trigger text-message alerts and provide daily performance updates. Price data is given on a 1-month, 3-month and year-to-date basis.

The main innovation of this service is text-message and email alerts. Users can configure alerts to receive notifications based not only on the last trading price of a security but also on bid/ask prices. Alerts can also be set up for trading volumes.

This new service is available free of charge to both clients and non-clients of e‑SIDER.COM. Clients are entitled to 20 text-message alerts per month and have access to quotes streamed in real time from SWX and virt-x. Non-clients are entitled to two text-message alerts per month and can access quotes with a time delay.
