BCV is donating CHF 100,000 to ECAL, the University of Art and Design in Lausanne. This gift will be used to fit out the main conference room in ECAL’s new premises located in the Lausanne suburb of Renens. The new site will be officially opened on 29 September (an advance media tour is scheduled for 28 September).
Lausanne, Switzerland, 4 July 2007
Through this donation, ECAL’s main conference room, which is located on the second floor of the new premises in Renens, will be equipped with the latest technology, including videoconferencing (VTC). It will be named after BCV. Conversion work on the Renens building is due to be completed this fall.
As the community bank of Vaud, BCV is proud to play a role in promoting the education of talented young people. The Bank sponsors a wide variety of educational initiatives in Vaud, including elite institutions like ECAL and a number of more mainstream programs. With this donation, BCV is adding its name to an impressive list of sponsors dedicated to ensuring ECAL’s ongoing success.
Our payment will be made to Fondation ECAL+, established by ECAL Director Pierre Keller to provide funding for optimum installations in the new building.
