New BCV Executive Board Member to Head Corporate Division

Jean-François Schwarz, former BCV Corporate Advisor, to return to BCV;
Appointment approved by Vaud Cantonal Government on 25 February

Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) has announced that the Vaud Cantonal Government (Conseil d'Etat vaudois) approved the appointment of Jean-François Schwarz as Head of the Corporate Banking Division and Member of the Executive Board. Mr Schwarz was proposed for the post by BCV's Board of Directors.

The appointment may be termed a homecoming for Mr Schwarz, who was employed by BCV from 1976 to 1986. He started with BCV in the Commercial Loans Department before being promoted to the post of Assistant to the Head of the Commercial Division. He continued his career with BCV as an Advisor for Large Corporations, dealing specifically with foreign credit (trading and exports). In this post Mr Schwarz built up a portfolio of both Swiss and foreign corporate clients active in Vaud Canton.

Mr Schwarz has been with Credit Suisse since 1986. He has worked in Lausanne, New York, Zurich, Geneva, Sion and again Lausanne during a brilliant career that has seen him play key roles in the development of activities related to credits and SMEs, among other areas. He's presently Managing Director with Credit Suisse Lausanne as Head of Corporate Clients for French-speaking Switzerland, and his responsibilities include five regions.

The Bank is pleased to welcome Mr Schwarz back, and is convinced that his top-notch skills and thorough knowledge of the corporate context in Vaud Canton and French-speaking Switzerland as a whole will make for significant added value in this key business area for BCV.
