Standard & Poor’s raises BCV’s long-term credit rating from A (stable) to A+ (stable)

Lausanne, Switzerland, 5 October 2007 – Rating agency Standard & Poor’s has today announced its decision to raise its long-term credit rating on BCV from A (stable) to A+ (stable). The short-term rating has been maintained at A-1.

Given the currently uncertain outlook for the financial markets, BCV’s management welcomes today’s announcement, which reflects the string of successes achieved in the on-going transformation of the Bank since 2003 and the Bank’s strong financial position today.
